Overall a good pick
We stayed at the hotel for 8 days. The hotel is clean, fairly comfortable, well maintained, and best of all, centrally located in the downtown. The rooms are fairly small, and your view is of another building about 5 feet outside your room. The a/c didnt work, but luckily we stayed when an open window kept the room cool. The elevator was tempermental and required stair use most of the time (not that big of deal because hotel only has 3 floors). The hotel bar/cafe was never open, but there were plenty of private restaurants/cafes/bars close by.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Very close to La Alhambra, turkish baths, shopping, restaurants. All within walking distance.

Pretty lobby
Loved the lobby. Breakfast was spendy (not included)and so-so. After coming from the Intercontinental (4*) in Madrid, we were expecting better service, and a much more luxurious room. Our view was of a tarped building across the alley. The headboards were lovely, but the bedding was very thin and Spartan. I was really taken aback. If they cant include the things that normally go with a 4* hotel (spa, gym, room service, insulated ceilings etc.) at least have beautiful and comfy beds! Perhaps modeled after a monestary? Parking was additional, and there were ALWAYS lines at the front desk, because there was only one attendant at a time working. Not what I would expect from a 4* hotel in Europe. Bring ear plugs - it is not insulated and the hard floors exho. Next time well go to the Parador by the Alhambra. It was lovely - we walked the grounds and peeked in on an event.
Traveler's tip on dining
There is a restaurant row within walking distance that looked great. Go out of the lobby and turn left. At the end of the block, turn left again. About seven or eight little restaurants.
