Motel 6 Auburn

Excellent low-cost option

This Motel 6 is not what one normally expects from this chain. A nice location, a very nice lobby, attentive front counter staff, and spacious and clean room. A very low price for the area. I will stay there again and will recommend it to others who visit my business in Auburn. It would have been nice to have decaf coffee as a choice for the breakfast, that is my only sugestion.

A vast upgrade from the former Motel 6 design

Not a luxry but more than adequate for and over night stay. A sweet roll for bkf would be nice.

Nice place to stay.

The hotel was good only thing it would have been better if there was a sample bottle of shampoo/conditioner included with the room. I left mine at home. Otherwise was a good place to stay. Clean and the employees were friendly.

Best Motel 6 I’ve ever stayed at

Except for the missing screen on the window, this was the best of the Motel 6s I’ve ever stayed at. Larger than any (there was room for two full-size beds without one having to be pushed against the wall); the bath had a full separate shower (no tub, however); two pleasant lounge areas (one upstairs, one down). Pleasant, helpful, and friendly personnel.

this is not the place!

i work out of town alot.i have never had a problem with hotels.until this one.i went to this place twice in two weeks,and still had problems with my keys one time,then the second time i was checked out while i was at work.they put my stuff in a cart and put it in storage,i wasn’t suppose to check out for another day.management checked me out without even looking at my prepaid rooms(the manager did this)all she had to do is look.anyways check other places besides this one.

good value for the price

i visit my son and family in auburn quite often and just need a place to sleep over night for one or two days.i have tried just about every motel in area and for the price it cant be beat.rooms are clean and staff are nice.but if you are looking for amentities you will be dissapointed.no breakfast,no refrigerators,no iron or hairdryers,not even shampoo.just a clean room to sleep

Not terrible, and very cheap

It was a real no-frills experience, but it was good enough for our needs - a place to stay for one night near the ski slopes - and very cheap. The only reason we probably won’t go back is it was too long a drive from the ski resort.

Nice Place To Stay

I must say this was the nicest Motel 6 I have ever seen. The staff on check in was very friendly as when we checked out. It was very quiet. There was a train that went by at night and the freeway close by but they were not an issue. I would stay here again.

needs more in room stuff

Room was nice but no in room coffee, no hair dryer,no shampoo. Hallways smelled like cigarette smoke but the room did not. For the price it was a fine overnight stop.

Best price by $20 in the Auburn Ravine motel/hotel group. Pleasant staff, and when I initially telephoned and questioned the price he quoted, he told me it was cheaper online (true).

Great Motel for a Great Price

I was really satisfied with the Motel 6 in Auburn. Room was clean, service was good too. There is an outside swimming pool outside which is nice. Overall, great price for a good place to stay.

Nice place to sleep, no extras

The motel was convenient and well maintained. With a "budget" property, they did not have an elevator to the second floor, no shampoo in the room and no hair dryer. All facilities were in good shape and the shower worked very well.

Quick, easy, cheap

We just needed a room for the night before rafting, and found them to be clean, no problems checking in or out, no noise, just a good place to sleep for the night. The price was the best we could find in the area, and it definitely met our needs.

Would recommend this hotel to anyone

This is a fairly new hotel and for the price compares very favorably with larger, more expensive chains. The room was large, the shower was large and bright, the gournds and lobby area were very well maintained and the staff very friendly. I’ll be staying there again - for the price, it was way more than I expected.

Not fancy but nice place

There were a couple things wrong in the room. Someone had allowed their child(ren) to draw with purple crayon on the bathroom door. Since the door is a slide out it was not noticed until the first person had to use the bathroom. I notified the front desk right away so as not to get charged. No problem there, the guy was very nice and thanked me for informing him. I also, just to be safe, informed the lady at the front desk when we checked out. The bathroom door was also loose and in need of repair. All-in-all our overnight stay was nice. It is a good place to go if you have little ones as it is comfortable and inexpensive. There is also a good family place to eat right across the street,as well as a couple fast food places.

Nice hotel, good loctation

This hotel was very clean and new. We just needed a place to get a meal and crash and this hotel did the job. My room was next to the ice machine and we were awoken a couple times due to people getting ice and being loud.

If they try to put you in room 309 next to the ice machine, decline and get a different room. The walls are paper thin and it sounds like this ice machine is inside your room.

cheap and efficient

We stay at the Motel 6 as a night stay during our Ski trip. It served well as its located on the freeway and has several chain restaurants around it. Getting up early to get to the slopes was a piece of cake. If you don’t want to pay a high price for lodging on your ski trip to North tahoe ski resorts Motel 6 is a good bet.
