Convenient but there are better choices
Hotel is very clean, good breakfast buffet, conveniently located only about 300m from the main train station. However I found front desk staff to be absolutely useless. They would not know any local restaurants (they kept recommending their own restaurant, which had probably the worst German food I’ve ever tasted for the last 10 years travelling to this country), they could not help with internet trouble and I had to talk to the manager when I wanted a duplicate invoice, because the girl at the desk refused to print it out. Bizarre, but true. Overall I would recommend hotel for casual stay, as long as you do not need to ask front desk for anything.

If you want great german food, ask any Taxi driver for "Schumacher" restaurant, located nearby.

Front Desk was horrible
The price and the location of the Hotel were the only reason for our choice. And when we arrive to the hotel, we were glad to see that we werent mistaken. But my husband got sick in the middele of the first night and when we asked for a help, the front desk didnt care and he even didnt help us finding an open pharmacy. We stayed 4 nights at the hotel and the people at the reception desk never greeted us. And when we asked for information about the metro or the city they werent really helpfull. There was a heating problem at the first night.

Good location -in downtown Duesseldorf
The location of the hotel was great. It was close to public transportation, as well as 2 great shopping districts, and where there’s shopping there are good restaurants and cafes. It’s perfect for a couple of days of business in DDF.

Altstadt is great. Nice museums and old quaint buildings.
