Don’t stay here!

The staff at this hotel did not consistently staff the front desk. When I aked for an alarm clock that worked, it was never delivered and I was awakened by a call at 12am that night asking if I still wanted it. You can definitely find nicer accommodations in this same area for the same price! I do not recommend this hotel.

Worst Hotel!

We stayed here becuase we spent the day at Busch Gardens. We got to the hotel, checked in, and went up to our room which smelled of smoke (we requested non smoking). We were switched to a room in the main building. The room was dirty (there was jelly on the nighstand and the toilet paper roll in the bathroom had dirt and dust all over it). We decided to just stay in the room and fell asleep. At about 12:30am, someone entered our room. The front desk had given our room to other guests! The attempted to call several times but our phone was broken. We were able to hear the phone ring, but we couldn’t hear anything or talk. After this woke us up, the heater starting sounding like it was going to blow up, so we had to turn it off. We also had to unplug the fridge because it was making this terrible ticking noise. After turning off the heater and the fridge, another noise continued to keep us up all night. It sounded like ice falling. When we went to the front desk to tell them about all the problems, the guy working stated, "ok." There was no apology or anything! Our friends also stayed at this hotel the same night and they had no lock on their door so they had to move the desk in front of the door. I would not recommend this hotel!

A Nice Surprise

I had booked this hotel for a two day stay and after reading the reviews , there was to say the least some major trepidation...never the less, we arrived to see for ourselves and were totally delighted. The room was in the main building so it may have been a renovated room, I don’t know. The room was very clean, absolutely no odors (not even the room deodorizers that are overpowering at some hotels. There was a pullout, a cocktail table, a small refrigerator and a nice modern T.V. The bathroom was immaculate and the hallways clean. The breakfast was satisfactory (there was a griddle for waffles) other than that cold items and coffee and tea. The pool area was very clean and plenty of clean towels, the entrance was clean and the grounds well kept. Our king bed was very comfortable. An added bonus, a very short walk to the colonial area!

Traveler's tip

Very reasonable rates and a convenient place to stay.
