Dismal detached staff
Stayed two nights. Reserved a non-smoking room, got a room that smelled like an ashtray on a floor that was the same - and that was the good part. Left in morning, returned late evening 10pm - room not cleaned, bed not made garbage not emptied. Called desk and he told me no one had signed off on cleaning room but nothing he could do. Conversation in background was that several rooms on that floor not cleaned. OH - and by the way - there was a FERRET convention in town. Some rooms had STACKS of cages visible and venting their stench into the halls when you walked by. By Sunday am, the ashtray smell was replaced by feces and urine. If I was assigned to clean the rooms on that floor, I wouldnt either. MANAGEMENT AT FAULT on this one
Traveler's tip on local attractions
They DO having something that is like the Ferret National Championships in York. Dont know if it is an annual event though. If so - find their hotel headquarters and stay ANYWHERE else

Don’t go to the smoking levels
The hotel was fine for a one night stay, but if you are a smoker, and my wife is, be aware that even she felt our entire floor stunk of stale cigarette smoke. The smell was BAD but the room was clean It was also hard to find since the outside sign was out. I told the desk attendent who appeared surprised!
