Nicer then expected

A+ to the hotel staff, smiling and very courteous. very convienient location for the purpose of my trip. I forgot to take my laptop and surprisingly they had computer stations which came in very handy. I am addicted to starbucks coffee in the morning and....bingo....I didn’t have to drive. I had dinner in their lounge with huge screen which was very nicely presented and good portioned. I would definetly go back and recommend this hotel.

Fantastic resort with lots of activities

We enjoyed our stay very much as they kept offering us thing to do. We played tennis, chess, golf, that I was not planning to play. Very nice staff really involved in making us happy. The rooms very clean. The restaurants were not overpriced with very good presentation and quality. Again, the waiters are very accomodating and nice. They have computers for your use in all public areas as well as wireless, so you are connected all the time. In all, a great experience.

part of the resort fee is the usage of the activities. We really enjoyed this.

This is a shame

I cannot believe that Expedia gave this hotel a 3 star rating. I have been to hotels with 2 star ratings and they were much better in terms of quality of service and accomodations. The A/C units are filthy and the hotel is infested by mold.

Would definitely go back again.

Accommodations were clean and spacious with a lovely view of the golf course from our balcony. Food in the restaurants was good and reasonably priced. Staff was pleasant and friendly.

Not impressed

Hotel is old. Pool was cold and pool area was not clean. Floors were dirty. Parking was not sufficient.

Its alright for the price! You get what you pay for!!!

The sinks were leaky in the entire place... my room, the restroom in the restaurant, and the one near the lobby. I would stay again. Nice location and it wasn’t the Hyatt!! I knew what I paid for and all I wanted was a place to sleep! Bed was comfy though the pillows a lil small. Not much to complain about. Staff wasn’t super friendly but who always is?! Hope this helps... I’ve stayed in worse! =-)

Cleanliness of room was a concern.

While the overall cleanliness of the bathroom and bedroom was addressed, the one area not taken care of during our stay was the floor. It never saw a dust or wet mop. In addition, our room was without a hair dryer the entire time even when we reported it after we first checked in.

It could be better

The hotel is look like a hotel from the 70’th. The choise og colours and the light in the gangways. It was dark. It was a cold day, and the heeting system does not functioned optimal. Nice people in reception and bar, but they were not enthusiastic. The fitness equipment was not in function and rather old. The is placed in beautilfull suroundings with golf and tennis. Unfortunate we have’nt the time to use it.

Disappointed

Hotel is very old in an unattractive part of South Florida. Surrounded y apartment buildings. Staff was friendly and courteous.

The Worst Hotel Ever..Trust me!!

Firstly, there is nothing "resort" at all about this hotel. NOTHING to do, no activities, the food is HORRIBLE, and their restaurant only opens for breakfast. A roach was in my bed when I uncovered the sheets, and overall the hotel is run-down and in need of repair!! I couldnt believe this place!! They dont even have the ability to supply you with a toothbrush if you need one. The store in the lobby rarely opens, and sells old, dusty items. The pool area was always filthy, and the drinks from the bar were watered down. Everything that could be wrong with a hotel, was completely wrong with this one. I was highly disappointed..Please stay somewhere else. Spend your money at a real vacation resort. please!!! You deserve better in Ft Lauderdale

We thank the reviewer for their feedback. Our guests’ reviews are always the best guidelines to continuously improve our facilities and service. We also want to apologize for any inconvenience suffered during their stay. We strive to provide the best possible service, and we wish we had known about this guest’s unsatisfactory experience while they were with us: we would have loved the opportunity to remedy any discomfort. We pride ourselves in our Housekeeping quality. Our Executive Housekeeper thoroughly inspects every room before handing a key to a guest. Due to our tropical location, surrounded by dense landscaping, we have the unavoidable pests occasionally visiting our resort through any open windows. For prevention, we hired Orkin, a nation-wide pest control company, to service our hotel weekly. We are not a beachfront property, but our location is one of the best in West Broward if the traveler is looking for golf, tennis or shopping. We have an in-house multiuse sports court, a wide Spa catalog, a 3-mile jogging path, pay-per-view movie system and live entertainment on weekends. Our kitchen opens from 6:30 am to 10:00 pm., serving five different outlets: the Cypress Terrace, the Tiki Bar and the Starbucks station during the day, the Cypress Terrace and the Long Green Lounge at night, and room service throughout all those hours. The Lobby store is open daily from 2 to 8 pm, and at any other time upon request; any staff member would gladly drive to the nearby drugstore for a guest’s special need. Again, we apologize for this guest’s inconveniences. If there is anything this Resort can do for you in your next visit to Fort Lauderdale, do not hesitate to contact our General Manager, he will be pleased to personally assist you.

Low price DID NOT mean low quality!

A little off the beaten path but far exceeded our expectations. Ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant. It was after 11AM and we were given the lunch menu, we requested to have breakfast and all staff could not have been more accommodating. The Belgian waffle was one of the best I have had in while!

Good place to stay at a good value

Because of this hotel’s negative reviews we avoided it on past trips. But it’s so convenient to my inlaws residence we finally decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. Yes, there were some rough edges, but overall it was a good value, and we’re definitely planning to stay here on our next trip. You might be disappointed if you think of it as a "resort" as it’s name states, but if you just think of it as a home base during your stay, I think you’ll be more than satisfied.

Not what a resort should be

Our room was clean, but the AC didn’t work, the toilet was hard to flush and the staff did not leave complete sets of towels. We were on the 5 th floor and the ice machine did not work on our floor so we had to go down the "very" slow elevator to get ice. The hotel is old and just needs some updating of important areas like the AC and the elevators.

Blood on our Bed Sheet

The location of the hotel is not easy to find. The hotel attendants did not help in any way to remove my bags. The wifi in the room did not work. When I was ready to retire for the night, I pulled back the sheet to find a spot of blood. I called to the front desk, was told that no one could change the sheets at that time, and that I would have to move to another room. When I checked out there was no discount, no voucher, not even a free night stay.

Over all a disappointment

cant wait to go back to florida.....only not there............

the hotel needs work in so many areas...the so called health club was all that in the 70 s but to charge 15 dollars per resort fee is really taking advantage of the guest....... i go to florida 5 to 6 times yearly now i will only return to the INVERY RESORT AS A LAST CHOICE TRUST ME

Ok for the price.

Do not expect too much from the facility. You pretty much get what you pay for. Room itself is pretty good. Elevator was either broke or scary. If you are just looking for a room to sleep in, this hotel will do just fine.

Great location

O.K. overall. Be prepared for add on prices once you get there. We had to pay 60.00 bucks for "resort fee".

Good value for the price.

The $15 per day resort tax was annoying. Why is this not included in the Expedia price?

We stayed at this hotel only because it was in walking distance to our friends’ home. The rooms are pretty bad, although some worse than others. The room we finally ended up with had "wood" floor renovation. The first room we were in had carpet that was so old and smelled so bad that I could not breathe. The hotel staff is pleasant and tries to be helpful, although they don’t have much to work with. The toilet paper sits on the sink vanity, as they have no holders. There is a notice in the lobby of back taxes due on the property? The fact that they charge a resort fee per day (in addition to the room rate) is ridiculous. We were told it was for parking and use of the amenities, neither of which we needed, but still we had to pay it. Next time we will rent a car and stay at another location!
