Start this day-long adventure when you take off from North Shore Airfield on the first flight to Kerikeri. Pass the Bay of Islands, continue up the west coast via the world-famous Ninety Mile Beach, and land at Cape Reinga. Next, depart via a comfortable and air-conditioned vehicle on a tour of the surrounding area, breaking for refreshments and an opportunity to experience the exhilaration of sand tobogganing.|
Rejoin the aircraft for the next leg of your flight along the east coast route to the Bay of Islands. Take in some of the most stunning coastal scenery Northland has to offer as you fly over Parengarenga Harbour and Great Exhibition Bay. This remote area is without a doubt one of the most beautiful places in New Zealand, featuring pure white silica sand and crystal clear water, much of it accessible only by sea or air. As the journey continues, fly over Houhora Harbour, the Cavalli Islands, Kauri Cliffs golf course, and the spectacular Bay of Islands.
A courtesy vehicle awaits at the Bay of Islands/Kerikeri airport to take you to Paihia, the hub of the Bay of Islands. Spend some free afternoon hours wandering through this historical area, walking along the scenic beach or doing some shopping. You can even take the ferry to visit Russell or go to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds. For your return flight to Auckland, follow the west coast route south from Kerikeri to Auckland via the Kaipara Harbour.
