Begin your excursion Ratchawong Pier on the Chao Praya River and step back in time to the old markets in Yaowarat, located in the heart of the vibrant Chinatown district. The original Chinese citizens were traders living in the village of Bangkok before it became the capital of the Kingdom of Siam.

Continue by walking to the end of Chinatown's Road where we will find Wat Traimit Temple, a beautiful temple enshrines the world's largest golden seated Buddha since Sukhothai Era measuring nearly five metres in height and weighting five and a half tons. It is believed that the original Golden Buddha was disguised under the plaster covering to hide it from enemies during the war time in Ayutthaya period. The temple also houses Chinese Museum where preserves the history of Chinese in Thailand.

Next, walk along Song Wat Road, bordered by old business buildings and warehouses. Emerge in the plastic and leather product quarter, and head to a 100-year-old coffee shop to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy an included coffee and refreshing snack.

Rejuvenated, set out on Issarnuparb Road and a bustling market specializing in Chinese religious products and fresh foods. In the evening, a sea of street stalls turns into a large and aromatic food bazaar ranging from the inexpensive to the finest Chinese restaurant. The area provides special opportunity for you to take a seat with your guide and sample some delicious charcoal grilled seafood.

Following dinner, continue on foot to the Saphan Put Night Market, where a vast array of clothes, shoes, bags, accessories, second hand collections, and antiques await your perusal. Your final stop of the evening is Pakklong Talad, the largest wholesale flower and vegetable market in Bangkok. Night time is a great time to see this colorful, fragrant, and enormous landmark, as itís completely covered with vibrant displays. At the end of the trip you are free to continue exploring the area, or your guide will assist you in getting a taxi back to your hotel.
