Brisbane
Fraser Island, one of Southern Queensland’s most impressive attractions and the world’s largest sand island, is an enigma. Although rainforest and sand aren’t usually found together, giant trees grow 100 to 130 feet (30 to 40 meters) out of the sand! Unspoiled freshwater lakes and creeks—so clear you can see all the way to the bottom—mingle with towering rainforests and breathtaking views.
