Rafters must be a minimum of 45 pounds (20.4 kg) and 5 years of age to participate in the Mild Whitewater Adventure. Rafting is not recommended for pregnant women. Please consult a doctor prior to rafting if you have an existing medical condition.
Please allow at least 1 1/2 hours to arrive at the Hydra River site.
Directions from Calgary
Travel west on the Trans Canada Highway (Hwy #1) past Banff and past the Lake Louise turnoff.
Keep on the highway; you will pass a town called Field. Approximately 20 minutes after Field you will see a sign reading "Leaving Yoho National Park."
Take the next left onto "Beaver Foot Road." You will cross over railway tracks and then over a bridge.
After 300 meters, turn right at the first intersection, onto "Kicking Horse Road.”
The site is the first driveway on the right past the red cabins (Kicking Horse Chalets); look for the Hydra sign.
Directions from Golden
Take Highway #1 east towards Banff.
Go across the two bridges over the Kicking Horse Canyon.
Once out of the canyon, on flatter road, you will pass over the yellow road closure gateslook for Beaver Foot Road (a gravel road on your right).
Turn right down Beaver Foot Road. You will cross over railway tracks and then over a bridge. After approx. 320 yards (300 m) turn right at the first intersection, onto “ Kicking Horse Road.”
The site is the first driveway on the right, past the red cabins. Look for the Hydra sign.
Reservation confirmation is required. You will not be guaranteed a place on this tour without contacting Hydra River Guides in advance. There is plenty of car parking available at the Hydra site. Guide gratuity is not included and is at the participant’s discretion.
This tour is for families with young children. You are advised to bring a bathing suit, towel, and a bag for your clothes and personal belongings. If you choose the transport option you will be back in Banff at approximately 3:30 PM; you will need to wait for another raft trip to finish before returning to Banff. All customers/participants are required to sign liability waivers before participating in this activity.

2. Follow the redemption instructions on your voucher; it iscritical to do this before you depart.
3. Take all vouchers with you; you must redeem one voucher per person.
Exchange your voucher for activity:
Reservation confirmation is required. Please contact Hydra River Guides at least 48 hours prior to your desired activity date. Present your voucher(s) and photo ID upon arrival at the Hydra River Guides meeting location on the date of your tour. If you have selected the optional transportation option, please present your voucher(s) and photo ID to the driver upon pick-up.
