After meeting your guide at the Arkansas Valley Adventure office, he or she will give an extensive safety talk, and then discuss equipment and strategies including: casting, line management, trout habitat, fly selection, hooking, playing, and landing fish. Then it’s off to the water! Your guide will spend the rest of the afternoon, weather permitting, on the river. All fishing destinations are determined by your guide, who will factor in weather conditions, hatch patterns, and water levels. Many guides have their own secret spots, so you may not know where you’ll be fishing until the last minute! A catered lunch on the shore will be provided.

Fishing requirements:
A Colorado State fishing license is required to participate on this tour. Your license should be purchased in advance of your fishing date. The shop located above the Arkansas Valley Adventure’s office sells licenses, but you may purchase your license at any authorized seller.

Reservations are recommended. Walk-ins are welcome, but are not guaranteed. To reserve your place on this tour, please call Arkansas Valley Adventures in advance of your arrival. Colorado’s weather conditions change frequently and rapidly, so please be prepared: a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and rain gear are recommended. A 7.5% River Access & Use Fee is included in the listed rate.

Redemption instructions
After you book your activity, follow these 3 easy steps:
1. Print your voucher; locate the voucher in your travel confirmation e-mail or in the My Trips/My Itineraries link on the site.
2. Follow the redemption instructions on your voucher; it iscritical to do this before you depart.
3. Take all vouchers with you; you must redeem one voucher per person.

Exchange your voucher for activity:
Reservations are recommended. Walk-ins are welcome, but are not guaranteed. To reserve your place on this tour, please call Arkansas Valley Adventure in advance of your arrival or at least 24 hours prior to the date you wish to take this tour. Please arrive at the Arkansas Valley Adventure office 45 minutes prior to the start of the tour; the address will be listed on your printed voucher(s). You must provide your own transportation to the office; please contact Arkansas Valley Adventure for directions. Present your voucher(s) and photo identification upon check-in.
