“Meet” a real renaissance man, Giorgio Vasari, the historic artist, painter, and architect appointed by the powerful Medici family to execute the architectural and decorative transformation of Palazzo Vecchio in the 1500s. Let a Giorgio Vasari impersonator lead you through the Quartieri Monumentali of the palace, showing you his breathtaking works of art and revealing some secrets and anecdotes about one of Florence’s most revered buildings. Ask a few questions to test his knowledge before bidding farewell. The tour ends with a Florentine lunch at Giannino, a charming restaurant in the ancient merchant open gallery at the heart of the Medicean district.
