For three weeks in December, Montreux is transformed into a winter wonderland, fit for Santa and his elves. Shopkeepers and craftsmen set up chalet-style stalls selling an array of souvenirs and gifts. The town is decorated with festive lights, and numerous events and performance take place in the run-up to Christmas.

You'll have time to discover the magical market, before heading to Chillon Castle to explore its interior and its dungeons. Immortalised by Lord Byron in his poem,The Prisoner of Chillon, the castle continues to capture the imagination of visitors with its medieval jumble of towers, turrets, and ancient vaulted dungeons.
