If you've always wanted to try scuba diving, this half-day resort course is the ideal way to learn. A PADI instructor will walk you through the basics in classroom and pool sessions. Then, take to the open water with a 25-foot dive over a coral reef.

Learn to dive under the supervision of a professional dive instructor. After a brief classroom session, it's time to try out the scuba gear. Suit up and practice breathing underwater. When the class is ready, the instructor will take everyone on a short boat ride to an off-shore reef for a 40-minute dive. The calm, protected waters are perfect for a first dive, and the stunning coral reef will have you back for more!

Departure time and location:
1 PM, from the lobby of the Reef Resort; roundtrip transportation is available from select hotels. Or you may meet the tour at Ocean Frontier's Austin Conolly Drive location

Return time and location:
4:30–5 PM to the Reef Resort

Reservations are required. You will not be guaranteed a place in the course without calling Ocean Frontiers in advance of your arrival. All participants must be at least 12 years old. If you have asthma or diabetes, you will need a doctor's note to participate.

Safety precautions:
In order to scuba dive safely, you must be in moderately good physical health. Your respiratory and circulatory systems must be in good condition. All body air spaces must be normal and healthy. Individuals with heart problems, colds or congestion, epilepsy, asthma, or individuals under the influence of alcohol or drugs should not dive. If you are pregnant or think you may be, please talk with your doctor before participating in this activity. If taking medication, consult your doctor before participating in this program. Ocean Frontiers has the right to refuse service to anyone who does not meet these basic physical requirements. It is also a safety requirement that you do not snorkel or scuba dive the same day that you fly; please schedule your scuba activity accordingly.

Redemption instructions

After you book your activity, follow these 3 easy steps:
1. Print your voucher; locate the voucher in your travel confirmation e-mail or in the My Trips/My Itineraries link on the site.
2. Follow the redemption instructions on your voucher; it iscritical to do this before you depart.
3. Take all vouchers with you; you must redeem one voucher per person.

Exchange your voucher for activity:
Reservations are required. You will not be guaranteed a place in the course without calling Ocean Frontiers at least 24 hours in advance of your arrival. The customer service phone number and e-mail address will be listed on your voucher(s). Transportation is available from select hotels on the island; please have your hotel information available when making your reservations. If your hotel is on the pick-up route, please be ready in the lobby 15 minutes prior to scheduled pick-up time. Present your voucher(s) and photo identification to the driver upon pick-up. If you choose to meet the tour, please arrive at the Reef Resort or Ocean Frontier's Austin Conolly Drive location 25 minutes prior to your scheduled start time. Have your voucher(s) and photo identification available.

    Cancellations and Changes: This Activity can be changed or cancelled without penalty at any time prior to two days before the scheduled start of your trip. The scheduled start of your trip is defined as your hotel check-in date, your departure date of the originating flight, or the date of the Activity if the Activity was booked without a flight or a hotel.
