Join an experienced pilot on an incredible journey of the island of Hawai’i. Fly in a comfortable helicopter over miles of tropical rainforest on your way to the Kilauea Volcano. View the awesome power of this volcano firsthand as it participates in the constant rebirth of the island of Hawai’i. The return loop takes you across the slopes of Mauna Loa to the Wailuku River, where waterfalls cascade into beautiful emerald ponds.
Choose between the following helicopter types:
ECO-Star: Incorporating the most advanced technologies and avionics available, the ECO-Star features individual first-class seats, 23% more interior space, a raised "theater style" platform in the rear, expansive glass for sweeping views, and a more powerful and fuel-efficient engine for faster flight.
A-Star: The industry-standard American Eurocopter A-Star offers a great flight in a compact cabin with bench-style seating and good visibility.

Multiple departures daily. Actual flight times vary seasonally; all flights depart from the Hilo Airport
Participant restrictions:
All seat assignments will be determined by weight and balance. Due to guest comfort and the weight and balance constraints of the aircraft, anyone weighing 240 pounds (109 kg) or over will be required to pay for an additional full seat upon flight confirmation. Federal aviation regulations require each passenger to be weighed before boarding a helicopter flight.
Note:
Select either the ECO-Star or the A-Star. Children younger than 24 months may fly at no charge as a lap sitter. Check-in is 45 minutes prior to scheduled departure time. This activity operates weather permitting.This activity departs from the Hilo International Airport, located approximately 2 1/2 hours from Kona.

After you book your activity, follow these 3 easy steps:
1. Print your voucher; locate the voucher in your travel confirmation e-mail or in the My Trips/My Itineraries link on the site.
2. Follow the redemption instructions on your voucher; it is critical to do this before you depart.
3. Take all vouchers with you; you must redeem one voucher per person.
Exchange your voucher for activity:
Within 72 hours of booking this activity you will receive an e-mail from a Local Expert™ Activity Specialist. Your Hawaii Activity Specialist will confirm your chosen activity with the local operator and provide you with confirmation information. The e-mail will also contain directions to the nearest Local Expert™ desk where you will exchange your voucher(s) for activity tickets. Please be prepared to show photo identification. If you do not receive an e-mail or have other questions, please contact Local Expert™ directly; the customer service phone number will appear on your voucher(s).Note: Your printed voucher is proof of your online booking; it is not a valid admission ticket.
