Details

Sit back as a ferry transports you to Lantau Island via the Sulphur Channel and past the outer islands. Visit Po Lin (Precious Lotus) Monastery. Created by three Zen masters in 1920 as a small stone shrine to Buddha, the monastery is now the largest and best-known on the island. A short distance away, climb the steps to the largest seated outdoor bronze Buddha in the world. Take in sweeping views of the surrounding area atop this iconic statue’s platform where he towers a staggering 110 feet (34 m) above with right arm raised to bless all those who reach the top.

Stop by Hong Kong’s only tea plantation before being transferred to Tai-O fishing village. Seemingly untouched by time after its many centuries in existence, this charming village is home to hundreds of stilt houses and their families. Your full-day tour includes a refreshing vegetarian lunch.
