Dolphin experience
Take a look at the wonders of marine life on your next visit to Dolphin Cay. After an orientation with a marine mammal specialist, dip into waist-deep water as you enter a breathtaking lagoon. Enjoy an unforgettable experience as you interact with a gentle Atlantic Bottlenose dolphin. With two trainers' guidance, touch the dolphin and observe its intelligence up close. This tour is sure to give you a new admiration for these lively underwater mammals.
About Dolphin Cay
When you aren't socializing with dolphins, take a look around the Dolphin Cay community. As the largest dolphin habitat in the Caribbean, Dolphin Cay offers a marine mammal education center and a dolphin overlook area. Behind the scenes, Dolphin Cay is a state-of-the-art rescue and rehabilitation facility, the first of its kind in the Bahamas. Atlantis and Dolphin Cay were recently accredited by the Alliance of Marine Mammal Parks and Aquariums and the Association of Zoos and Aquariums for achieving and maintaining rigorous standards for animal care, education, wildlife conservation, and science.
Dolphin Cay is home to gentle Atlantic bottle-nosed dolphins, ranging in age from infant to 42 years. 16 of these dolphins are known as “Katrina’s Dolphins”–former residents of the Marine Life Oceanarium in Gulfport, Mississippi, which was destroyed in the infamous 2005 hurricane. Dolphin Cay was the only facility able to accommodate the entire pod and quickly arranged for their adoption. They were welcomed on Paradise Island in January 2006.

Guests must check in at least 10 minutes prior to their session time.
Participant restrictions:
Parents or guardians must participate with all children younger than 10 years old.
Participants with special needs or physical impairments must have a primary attendant present throughout the interaction.
Pregnant women must check with their physician if they wish to participate.
Participants must wear swimsuits underneath their wetsuits. Wetsuits are provided free of charge and are required.
Guests must understand English or have a translator present at all times.
Safety regulations:
It is a safety requirement that you do not participate in this activity the same day that you fly; please plan your session accordingly.
Important booking tip:
Because of this activity's popularity, please reserve your session time within two weeks of making your hotel reservations. Session times for the shallow-water interaction are not assigned until you contact Dolphin Cay. Guests who do not make reservations cannot be guaranteed participation and are accommodated at Dolphin Cay's discretion.
Note:
Reservation confirmation is required. If you show up 10 minutes or more after the start of your scheduled session time you will be subject to no-show penalties. For the safety of the dolphins, please do not wear jewelry during this activity. In the event of inclement weather as defined by Dolphin Cay, programs will be rescheduled without penalty. Before and after your dolphin interaction, a locker-room area is available for showers and changing. Pictures of your dolphin interaction are available for purchase after your session.

After you book your activity, follow these 3 easy steps:
1. Print your voucher; locate the voucher in your travel confirmation e-mail or in the My Trips/My Itineraries link on the site.
2. Follow the redemption instructions on your voucher; it iscritical to do this before you depart.
3. Take all vouchers with you; you must redeem one voucher per person.
Exchange your voucher for activity:
Reservations are required. To schedule your session time, you must contact Dolphin Cay at Atlantis, Paradise Island prior to the day you wish to participate in this activity. After purchasing your admission, please wait at least 48 hours before making your reservations. The customer service phone number, email address, and address of the Dolphin Cay facility appear on your printed voucher(s). Upon arrival at the Dolphin Cay facility, present your voucher(s) and photo identification at the reception area. Note: It is a safety requirement that you do not participate in this activity the same day that you fly; please plan your session accordingly. |

During the guest check-in process, participants will be asked to sign a form agreeing to the following terms related to any claims they may have as a result of their stay at the resort: I agree that any claim I may have against Atlantis, Dolphin Cay, or any of their officers, directors, employees, or related or affiliated companies, including, without limitation, Kerzner International Limited, Kerzner International Bahamas Limited, Island Hotel Company Limited, Paradise Enterprises Limited, Paradise Island Limited and Paradise Beach Inn Limited resulting from any events occurring in The Bahamas shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, and further, irrevocably agree to the Supreme Court of The Bahamas as the exclusive venue for any such proceedings whatsoever. The foregoing shall apply to all persons accompanying me, and I represent that I have the authority to sign this document on their behalf.
Cancellations and Changes: This Activity can be changed or cancelled without penalty at any time prior to two days before the scheduled start of your trip. The scheduled start of your trip is defined as your hotel check-in date, your departure date of the originating flight, or the date of the Activity if the Activity was booked without a flight or a hotel. |
