Travel to Kek Lok Si (“Temple of Supreme Bliss”), which sprawls along a hillside. Commenced in 1890, construction continues today with new additions and improvements. One of the temples most prominent structures, the seven-storey Pagoda of 10,000 Buddhas towers over the complex and features a blend of Thai, Chinese, and Burmese architectural styles. Via its narrow staircase, access panoramic views from atop the pagoda’s sixth storey, if time allows. Tour the serene temple grounds, and take the inclined lift for an up-close look at the newest addition, a 100-foot (30-m) bronze statue of Kuan Yin—the “Goddess of Mercy.”
A short drive brings you to the base of Penang Hill where you’ll board a funicular train for a scenic journey high into the forest.* Keep an eye out along the way for the many species of flora and fauna that call the hills home, including rare slipper orchids, monkeys, and over 100 species of bird. At the end of the line, disembark at the 2,7500-foot (830-m) apex where 360-degree views of Georgetown, the Penang Bridge, and mainland Malaysia, stretch out before you.

*The railway is currently under reconstruction, during which time guests will be rerouted to Penang's tallest building, the Komtar Building. Admission to it's 60th-floor observation deck is included in the listed rate. Children younger than age 2 may participate for free.

After you book your activity, follow these 3 easy steps:
1. Print your voucher; locate the voucher in your travel confirmation e-mail or in the My Trips/My Itineraries link on the site.
2. Follow the redemption instructions on your voucher; it iscritical to do this before you depart.
3. Take all vouchers with you; you must redeem one voucher per person.

Reservation confirmation is required. Please contact Asian Overland Services at least 48 hours prior to your preferred tour date to ensure your reservation, and to confirm your pick-up location and time. Upon pick-up, please provide your guide with photo ID and printed voucher(s) |
