Details

Located just 45 minutes from Puerto Vallarta, Vallarta Adventures' private eco-reserve—with its profusion of flora and fauna—lies deep within the tropical forest of the Sierra Madre Mountains. The reserve's 11 zip lines, two jungle bridges, and Tarzan swing will give you a unique—not to mention pulse-stopping—view of this amazing wilderness. With the help of knowledgeable guides, you'll soon be moving effortlessly through the huge tropical trees!

Participants are under the constant care and supervision of highly qualified personnel with over 200 hours of formal training. Only top-quality equipment that is regularly and rigorously inspected and maintained is used, along with two safety ropes for added security. The Canopy Eco-Adventure was designed and built by a company with the best safety record in the industry.

Participant restrictions:
Participants must be in good physical condition. Minimum physical requirements are an ability to walk 15 minutes uphill and up steps and sufficient mobility and strength to climb straight up a 15-foot (4.6-meter) ladder. Maximum weight is 250 lbs (113 kg). Minimum age is 8 years. Minimum height is 4 feet (1.2 meters). Tour is not recommended for persons who are pregnant; have heart trouble or seizure disorders; have problems with balance; or have back, neck, or shoulder disabilities. Participants must wear closed-toe shoes and either shorts or long pants.

Note:
Reservation confirmation is required. Light rain gear is recommended during the rainy season. Bug spray also is recommended. Please arrive at the departure point at least 30 minutes prior to departure. Do not partake of any alcoholic beverages within eight hours of the tour. Storage lockers are available. For safety reasons, cameras (either video or still) are not permitted on the tour. Videos, souvenirs, and bug spray are available at the site.

Fly through the trees like a monkey, soar through the air like a bird, and do it all without having to worry about falling! The Canopy Adventure tour is a safe and outrageously fun way to experience the jungle. We were securely harnessed and attached to cable lines at all times, in fact we were attached twice, for extra safety. Once strapped in, I felt completely secure … ready to let go and let ‘er rip, gliding from platform to platform soaking in the jungle air, looking at native plants and animals, and having the time of my life, all in midair.

Tip: The drive out to the jungle is by open-air vehicle and offers a great view of local towns and villages. However prepare for wind and possible cold on the trip out and back.

Tip: Bug repellent is highly recommended and is not provided by the guides.

Redemption instructions

After you book your activity, follow these 3 easy steps:
1. Print your voucher; locate the voucher in your travel confirmation e-mail or in the My Trips/My Itineraries link on the site.
2. Follow the redemption instructions on your voucher; it iscritical to do this before you depart.
3. Take all vouchers with you; you must redeem one voucher per person.

How to redeem your voucher(s):
Reservations are required. Please contact Vallarta Adventures at least 24 hours in advance to confirm your tour date and reserve your departure location and time; the customer service phone number appears on your printed voucher(s). On the day of your tour, please arrive at the departure point at least 30 minutes prior to departure. Upon check-in, you will be required to present one voucher per person along with valid photo identification.

Cancellations and Changes: This Activity can be changed or cancelled without penalty at any time prior to two days before the scheduled start of your trip. The scheduled start of your trip is defined as your hotel check-in date, your departure date of the originating flight, or the date of the Activity if the Activity was booked without a flight or a hotel.
