As well as spectacular Renaissance artwork, the basilica houses a collection of relics and papal artefacts in the museum. Then tour of the catacombs, the resting place of nine popes. Finish with a walk along the old Appian Way and the Thermes of Caracalla.|

On Sundays and bank holidays the tour will visit St. Mary the Major instead of the old Appian Way.
