Ready to experience food nirvana? Anxious to sip coffee that has never succumbed to mass marketing? Want to browse through shops with all kinds of handmade and imported goods? San Francisco's North Beach neighborhood—with its quaint shops, authentic Italian cathedrals, cafés, and artisan bakeries—proves that it's impossible to be bored in the City by the Bay.

From great coffee, truffles, breads, olive oil, specialty meats, and more, you’ll learn how the food is made and what to look for back home.

In addition to experiencing the fabulous food and café culture, the tour also takes in North Beach's vibrant shopping scene, specializing in handmade crafts and ceramics. Another stop includes the nightclub where Barbra Streisand and the Grateful Dead once performed—although not together—and where Robin Williams and Bill Cosby got their start.

Since you'll be sampling food and beverages, it's suggested that you not eat much before taking the tour. Because the neighborhood has so much to offer, each tour is different and customized for the participants. If you have any food allergies, please notify Local Tastes of the City Tours, using the phone number listed on your voucher. All restaurants are non-smoking.

Redemption instructions
After you book your activity, follow these 3 easy steps:
1. Print your voucher; locate the voucher in your travel confirmation e-mail or in the My Trips/My Itineraries link on the site.
2. Follow the redemption instructions on your voucher; it iscritical to do this before you depart.
3. Take all vouchers with you; you must redeem one voucher per person.

Exchange your voucher for activity:
Reservation confirmation is required. This tour is small and fills up quickly. Please call at least 72 hours in advance of your desired tour date to confirm that date and choose the time of your tour. On the day of your tour, present your voucher(s) and photo ID to your tour guide. Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the start of your tour (10 AM or 2 PM).

Cancellations and Changes: This Activity can be changed or cancelled without penalty at any time prior to two days before the scheduled start of your trip. The scheduled start of your trip is defined as your hotel check-in date, your departure date of the originating flight, or the date of the Activity if the Activity was booked without a flight or a hotel.
