In spring 1791 Mozart was commissioned to compose a requiem, but it was left unfinished at the composer’s death the following December. While on his deathbed, Mozart supposedly performed the “Lacrimosa” with friends and is said to have died after the first bar. The Requiem has remained one of Mozart's most famous compositions, characterized by fear, hope, revolt, and redemption.

Admission is complimemtary for children age 5 and younger. Students age 25 and younger can book the child rate if they have a valid student ID; the student ID needs to be presented at admission.
