Details

Your tour begins with a 30-minute training session to learn the basics of maneuvering the Segway scooter. Once under way, visit Washington D.C. highlights, including: the U.S. Capitol Building, the White House, the National Museum of Natural History, Ford's Theater, the National Air and Space Museum, the Washington Monument, and many more!

Your tour guide also takes you past the National Gallery of Art, the National Museum of American History, and the U.S. Navy Memorial. Throughout the tour, the guide provides both the history and stories surrounding the sites and makes sure plenty of photo opportunities are available.

Tour departs from the City Segway Tours office, located on 9th Street between F and G streets. If traveling by metro, the office is directly across the street from the 9th and G Street exit of the Gallery Place metro stop.

Participant restrictions:
Participant must be at least 16 years old. All riders must have the ability to climb and descend stairs without assistance. All riders must have the ability to climb and descend stairs without assistance. The Segway is not appropriate for anyone weighing under 100 pounds (45.5 kg) or over 250 pounds (113.6 kg). Any participant suspected of being under the influence of alcohol will not be permitted to ride.

Note:
Reservation confirmation is required. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. Each tour begins with a 30-minute orientation session, so that all riders feel comfortable maneuvering their Segway. Participants younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult who is 18 years or older (to sign liability and damage waivers; the adult does not need to go on the tour). Each party must also complete a damage waiver that includes a deposit of US$499.95 on a credit card. This charge is immediately cancelled at the end of the tour. Beverages, raingear, and gratuity are not included.

Redemption instructions

After you book your activity, follow these 3 easy steps:
1. Print your voucher; locate the voucher in your travel confirmation e-mail or in the My Trips/My Itineraries link on the site.
2. Follow the redemption instructions on your voucher; it iscritical to do this before you depart.
3. Take all vouchers with you; you must redeem one voucher per person.

Exchange your voucher for activity:
Reservation confirmation is required. You must contact City Segway Tours at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled tour; the phone number is listed on your printed voucher(s). On the day of your tour, please bring your voucher(s) and photo identification to the City Segway Tours office, located on 9th Street between F and G streets.

Terms and conditions

A $499.95 deposit on a major credit cardper reservation to cover potential misuse and/or damage to the Segway will be required before the tour. This will be refunded immediately after the tour, provided the Segway is not damaged. You will also be required to sign a damage waiver before your tour departs. Participants must be 16 years of age or older.

Cancellations and Changes: This Activity can be changed or cancelled without penalty at any time prior to two days before the scheduled start of your trip. The scheduled start of your trip is defined as your hotel check-in date, your departure date of the originating flight, or the date of the Activity if the Activity was booked without a flight or a hotel.
