Great Stay, Wonderful Staff!
The White Sands is a great little hotel. There is no T.V. in the room and I actually found that nice. The room was very simple. It only had the necessities. The maid-service was great. Everyday they cleaned very well. I was always going back to my room getting sand everywhere and they always had it cleaned up. The bar is great (and cheap!) and the bar staff were all so nice. Especially the hotel security guard. I had no problem leaving my things on a chair and wandering around. The hotel is also in the perfect location because it is right in the middle of seven mile beach so you could walk either way and find new things. The locals were a bit exhausting trying to sell you stuff, I have to admit. Most of the time a "no thanks" will work but some of them were kind of pushy. Don’t feel any obligation to buy what you don’t want-- you will run out of money fast! I had a great comfy stay. It was very relaxing.
Bourbon Beach has the best jerk chicken. Rick’s is awesome. Definitely buy fruit on the beach. For lunch, save some money and buy the chicken or beef patties for sale from a guy who walks the beach with a bike. they are good.

Affordable, with a great beach location!
Very close to the beach, they have security 24/7, so you can take a swim, without having to worry about your things on the beach. Room had air-conditioning, but we never used it, opening the French doors was just enough. The hotel is located on the 7 mile Negril beach, which is considered to be the prettiest beach in Jamaica and I would concur. We didn’t eat at the White Sands Restaurant, instead we ventured off every night to a different restaurant located on the 7 mile beach. Food is great, almost anywhere you go. I recommend it and would defiantly stay here again.
