Will not stay here again
This hotel is extremely inexpensive and you get what you pay for. They only have 4 or 5 studios and we booked one. The first night they didn’t have a studio ready for us. The hotel is in serious need of some deep cleaning and general maintenance. The staff is nice but the hotel is just run down. I know what you are going to say its Jamaica but, we left the hotel 3 days early and went to Ohos Rios and stayed in a hotel with a studio and it was a world of difference. Much much nicer and still inexpensive. Negril Beach Club Resort only gets by because its right on the beach and near the local attractions. Next time I go to Negril I will pay more money for a better place to stay.
Watch out for the taxi drivers most will try to get over on you. When you find a good driver get his card and call him for your future trips. You can really walk every where you go in the beach area of negril. If you are going to the westend you will need a taxi.

Hotel does not live up to reputation
Hotel location is excellent on Negril Beach. Wonderful beach. Service in restaurant was excellent, especially catering to vegetarians. Hotel is not in good condition. Our room was not clean. Kitchen and bathroom needed a lot of cleaning. The grounds were maintained by the beach crew who did a good job. Hotel staff at front desk should be more friendly and helpful.
We were there in October which could be hurricane season but the weather was wonderful and the ocean was warm and comfortable.

Nice for the money
This was the second time I’ve stayed at the Negril Beach Club, so obviously I liked it enough to go back. The staff is friendly and helpful, the restrauant they have on premise is great. Good Jamaican food and you can’t beat eating with a ocean view. I don’t drink, so can’t review the bar, but it is right on the beach so you don’t have to go far for a drink or beer. The beach right out front is the best. Shallow, clean, clear, warm water. You can sit on the beach and everything just comes to you. You can get patties, fruit, and even lobster from the vendors walking by. The beach party places are all within walking distance as is the craft market. Life is easy while staying at the Negril Beach Club.
