Inexpensive, but satisfactory
The saying that you get what you pay for is accurate. The locale is not the best part of town, but since we only slept there (and the bed was comfortable and clean), it did not matter. The price was good. Thank you.

just off freeway, felt uncomfortable for the two days we were there. Can absolutely not recommend this place

only if you’re desperate
The owners seemed nice, the sheets were clean and the bathroom was immaculate. Otherwise, the worst stay of my life. If you don’t know Oakland (I do), don’t stay here. This is partly a residence motel, and the neighborhood is dodgy. Security bars on the lower doors and windows says alot. Butted up against Hwy. 880, the noise is constant. The drapery is not light-blocking, so floodlights fill the room at night. Also, the business next door has a dog that does not stop barking. You won’t sleep well if at all, you’ll be worried about your car being burgled or stolen, and there are no amenities anywhere. Only for the rugged, poor, brave, and desperate.
