Nice hotel but....
I was there for seven day in August 09 on vaction the staff were really nice and friendly and was always wiling to help you, the food and the services at the hotel restaurants were good as well, the only complaint that I have is that the access to the beach was bad and that there was rock in the water in front of the hotel making it dangerous to swim there. That was due to the last storm that hit the island. I would definitely stay at that hotel again but I think that the better choice will be the Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Hotel. The beach front there is better and the hotel is closer the main shopping area and a lot more restaurants.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
If you wanted to swim with the dolphins the better place to go is Xel-Ha and not the Wet and Wild park near the hotel zone. At Xel-Ha you have a longer time with the dolphins and your friends or family can tak their own photos with you as for Wet and Wild I paid $159 for 16 pictures.
