Great for honeymooners
The ride there from the airport was interesting. Long and bumpy but you see the area. The hotels nice. Older than some of the other resorts. The beach is nice but wear water shoes in the ocean. Theres coral everywhere and you cant see it because the sand gets kicked up in the surf. The beach is public so if there are peddlars dont buy from them because you wont be allowed to take the items on the plane. The food was good at the World Cafe but you can get sick of it by the end of a weeks stay. The staff was excellent. Not much english so learn a little spanish if you can. The pool is nice but only 4ft deep. Make sure you get up at 6am and go down and put towels on seats you want for the day because they fill up quickly. The floats disappear fast so if you buy cheap ones and bring your own. If you want to go to one of the restaurants call concierge and ask which restaurants are open because sometimes some are closed. Get there right when they open because they fill up fast! The Seaside Grill was really good. Best lamb ever. I noticed meats are cooked very well done here. So if youre used to medium-rare itll be a surprise. The room was nice but the bed is very hard. The showers water temperature goes hot to cold alot. There will always be sugar ants in places so if you have champagne or cocktails and you finish your drinks in the room make sure you wash the glass out because theyll come running. You dont see alot of them until they find something sweet.
Have your passport out the whole time youre at the airport going there and back. We had to show it to so many different people so I just kept it in my had with my license. Also keep a paper copy of your itinerary out when leaving Punta Cana and youre in the airport. Our information changed while we were sitting right in front of the screen where we were supposed to load and no one said anything to us and if you arent on top of it you can miss your flight without knowing it.

6 days 5 nights
The food was on average fair. The Mexican Restaurant was the best place to eat, we had a great steak there. The other specialty restaurants were only open select evenings and since you could NOT make reservations the wait was often over two hours. Breakfast at the buffet was good, lots of choices but the service was spotty. Some mornings it was very attentive other mornings it was impossible to get a second cup of coffee. The rooms were what I expected for the price; clean but not luxurious. Our room could have used a new mattress. The swim-up bar made good drinks but was always busy. The Walk-up bar on the other side was slow, surly and inconsistent.
