The Luxor Experience
Walking into the Luxor is very exciting, all the bells and whistles you would expect in Vegas. The Chris Angel show was absolutely amazing! My family and I really enjoyed it very much. However, the room itself left a lot to be desired. There was really nothing special about it and the worst of it was that the beds did not have fitted sheets! Sleeping in a strange bed can be difficult enough, sleeping in direct contact with a matress that has been used by millions of others is just disgusting. I would think for the room price, the Luxor could invest in better bedding. I would certainly go back to Vegas, but would probably select a different hotel.
The Chris Angel show is outstanding!

Good town, good vacation, good hotel, bad service
The Luxor is a mega resort hotel like most of the others on the Strip, but there are different kinds of Mega. I have stayed in the Wynn villas, Bellagio, Paris and others around the world. The Luxor is well enough if you are consisting an average stay but if you expect to be swept off of your feet and experience service most people wont even have then try one of the aforementioned resort and shell out the money for a suite. I reserved one of the bedroom suite in the pyramid and ended up with (a smaller) one in the tower because they was slow and closed part of the hotel. I would expect them closing part of the tower rather than the pyramid (which they are famous for). The overall service were lukewarm - not bad but not ethusiatic either. One bad incident marred our vacation for a couple days. Luxor is a good hotel but there are better on the Strip.
