For much less, I could have gotten MUCH More

Wow.. a trip to Vegas!! Did I think I would ever be among the glittering lights of a city that never sleeps? Color me so surprised and yes the TRIP was grand... but not at the Luxor. Yeah, this is going to be a scathing review. I will put it out there..I will NOT be making a return visit there. Maybe they can snubbly be unaccommodating, but they can’t stop word of mouth. First thing on my hit list. Every other hotel in the world of 5 star quality offers a courtesy van. Hotels in Vegas? Forget about it. Next, we ORDERED a room with a single King sized bed 40 days in advance of this trip. When we got into our room after a day of travel through airports, we received a room with two queen sized beds. No problem.. probably just a mistake. I called the front desk to complain and was ’snubbly’ informed that my reservation was based on availability and that if I wanted to ’wait’ a day or so I could ’change’ rooms. Yeah, that is what I wanted to do...play musical rooms in a hotel that that is so massive it took all 5 days we were there just to find our way around it. The room was sparse, flat and about as un-luxurious as they come. Food and Alcohol was grossly and insanely priced. Omg! $10 for a single shot of liquor??! Everything was insanely overpriced. My suggestion for what it is worth: the Hotels on the strip have more character, are closer to the action of events and entertainment and will probably be less than what you would spend at an overpriced hotel shaped like a pyramid.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Cirque Du Soleil was phenomenal. We took in the Criss Angel ’Believe’ and ’Mystere’ at Treasure Island. Both had some great moments, but ’Mystere’ was just an incredible spectacle of athletic prowess and showmanship. I also recommend visiting the Stratosphere especially at night. Be aware that nothing is free in Vegas LOL! Nightlife incredible. Visit the other hotel casinos if for no other reason than to look around... they are incredible architecture wonders!
