Convenient to the airport and a grocery store, and a great place to stay
We checked into the Sofitel before our cruise. They greeted us with orange juice and gave us our room. The views of the water are great. The spacious room has modern decor and bright, beautiful colors. Rooms also have a small flat screen tv. The pool area is very comfy with plenty of lounge chairs. There is a half off drinks happy hour from 5-6. The pool water gets very hot, but it is relaxing and you get a great view of Moorea and the bungalows down the way. We ended up coming back to the Sofitel at the end of our trip, as well. We had a mountain view room that time, but otherwise it was the same. There is no AC in public areas, but plenty of fans. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Go to the Carrefour for food. The hotel restaurants are VERY expensive. This hotel also has an inexpensive shuttle to the downtown several times per day.

Beautiful Moorea
Hotel was beautiful. Lagoon gorgeous. Menu choice in restaurant not so great - but mainly because we don’t eat pork or a lot of fish. But room service had better options for us. It’s nice to know that the pics on the website of the hotel and its surroundings were just as beautiful in person as they were on the website. Absolutely magnificent.

Have stayed in better for the price
We found it exceptionally quiet as all hotels in Tahiti are! they are extremely expensive once you are in them and that is why I think not a lot of people are going to Papeete it is not value for money as most hotels we stay at are.
