Late October Visit

My wife, and I, along with our 2 1/2 year-old, stayed at the Anderson in late October and loved it! The weather’s a gamble this late in the year, but it paid off big time. The weather turned out great, and we felt like we had the beach/resort to ourselves. ...Best of all, the rates were dirt cheap! The two-bedroom ,oceanfront suite was modern, very clean, and classy, and the beds were very comfortable. The front-desk and maid service were great also. Parking in their garage across the street gave us no problems (they run the resort laundry on the bottom floor of the garage so that helped alleviate our safety concerns at night). Our biggest concern going with the Anderson was the pool(s). The "indoor" pools (a 1.5’ baby pool and a 3’ - 5’ pool) were open to the outside so it was a bit chilly at night, but the water was heated and felt great. Outside, the lazy river was just a lame circle, and the two pools weren’t the biggest. However, at least in October, they provided more than enough swimming/lounge space, and our son loved going around the lazy river in the inner tube. Overall, we’d love to stay at the Anderson again and would give it our highest recommendation.

Go after labor day but before November for less of a crowd and greater savings.

THE best luxury value in Myrtle Beach!!! 100% class act.

My 2bdrm, 2ba unit on the 21st floor exceeded ALL expectations! We’ve stayed in great hotels around the world and I have to say this was one of the nicest ever. Granite countertops EVERYWHERE, 3 flat panel tv’s, tasteful furnishings and drapery and a terrace to die for with fabulous ocean vistas. Direct ocean access (not all lodging provides this) and an incredible staff made this short trip a MUST to return to for a longer period of time. I could have moved in! The "Sea Captain’s House" resturant 3 doors down was delicious, but with such a beautiful and fully equipped kitchen we chose to cook in and enjoy the terraces more than once. October is "off-season" so it was very quiet and so reasonably priced. Planning a week next season. Quite a find, try it!

Early October. The rates were SO low for such a fabulous place and the "family-friendly" atmosphere of the summer was gone. I prefer adult quiet and this place filled the bill. Plan on going next year for an extended stay.
