Nice resort but small with limited food & drink options
Overall resort was nice, well kept, very low key. We had an oceanfront room with a great view. This is the perfect place IF you want to avoid the loud, noisier resorts with lots of activities...the place pretty much shuts down at midnight. The beach is beautiful but small. Staff was friendly enough. Food wasn’t that great, we ended up going out to eat for a couple of our meals. The best meal was the beachside grilled mahi mahi at lunch - that was well worth the line! No 24 hour dining options so if you get the midnight munchies, stock up and make sure you have a room with a fridge and microwave. The dress code is strictly enforced, no tank tops or shorts to breakfast and men MUST wear pants to dinner! Also, the alcoholic drinks are weak (no premium liquor) so be sure to ask for double shots if you want a basic drink.

Almond Casuarina is fantastic!
My family and I just returned from a week at the almond Casuarina, and it was everything we had hoped for and more. Upon arrival, you are greeted with a cold towel and drink, which sets the tone for the entire experience. The staff are friendly and helpful, any request we made was attended to quickly, and the food was excellent. The rooms were clean and comfortable (although standard bland hotel decor, not very exotic or Caribbean). The cool, quiet garden paths on the way to the rooms are a wonderful retreat from the sun & surf at the beach. The beach is beautiful, white sand. The only complaint we had was the wind and surf was strong enough that there were yellow and red flags on the beach (caution and no swimming) most days. But it was great for my teenagers to body-surf, and we took the free shuttle to the Almond Beach Club or Almond Beach Village, and snorkeled and sailed there. We used a complimentary room at the Beach Village to shower and dress for dinner, and we felt the rooms were much nicer at the Casuarina. It was great to have the restaurants and resources of three resorts as part of our all-inclusive vacation. We would highly recommend the Almond Casuarina, we can’t wait to go back!
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
Definitely book a turtle snorkel tour through the hotel. It was one of the highlights of our trip.

Good Location, Good beach
The room, hotel and staff was good. The beach was lovely. There was a nice stretch of beach front available for morning walks. The food and lunch bbq was good however I was not happy with the options available at the seafood restaurant at dinner. Will stay here again.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
Rent a vehicle and tour the island. Explore St. Lawrence Gap and other neighbouring beaches. Also recommend exploring the other Almond resorts if time permits.
