very nice stay
Very relaxing and beautiful grounds. Very pricey restaurants. Avoid the terrace restaurant. The food and service was horrible but the Banyan Tree restaurant was excellent to include the food and unbelievable service. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful at this hotel and not to the point where it is in your face. The only major draw back is, is that the hotel is the farthest away from the airport so if you are staying for awhile, you need to rent a car.

January in Kapalua
We spent four nights at the Ritz January 2010. We got lucky and had sunny skies, but we heard that it can be overcast or rain nearly the whole month, so be careful if youre planning on sunbathing. This was a lovely, quiet resort. Its definitely the prettiest resort weve stayed at. Not at all a party scene as many people go there to golf and we didnt see many kids, which was fine with my husband and I.

Expensive yet average comfort at most
We got there pretty late and after we opened our door we saw a cockroach. Called to have the room switched in the morning. Second room we were given, everything was fine except there was a pluming problem. While we showered, water would not retreat in the shower stall. Too tired to complain, because we were leaving the next day. Would not come back. Expensive, yet not too happy during our stay
