Looks like closing down
This hotel looks like it is on its last leg. Run down and almost all the shops in the lobby are closed. It was the last weekend for the breakfast, they are shutting that down also. The best part it is walking distance to the Hilton and we spent most of our time over there enjoying their pool and bars.

Great views!!
I loved this hotel; close to the beach and restaurants.... overall very satisfied!! Keep in mind that this is an older hotel but the price is just right, the room was clean, spacious and has panoramic views of the lagoon and the beach. If you are on a low budget but you want to go to Hawaii this is the hotel to stay at!...Its a short 5 minute walk down to the beach. Have a great time & Enjoy!

favorable location
Ideally located adjacent to Hilton Hawaiian Village and all its amenities, Ilikai is more affordable, allowing savings to be used for meals and attractions in Waikiki. Since we go mainly for swimming and surf activities, we like to be close to the beach. Balcony view afforded continual enjoyment in evenings, without car exhaust and noise from main street. We noted that the hotel was in transition having been recently acquired by the Aqua Corp. Papered empty shops were a bit depressing. Would have appreciated more hotel literature available in room for phone explanation and in house services.
