Good access to beach
This hotel had nice beach access, but was very noisy! The corridor set up has a constant breeze and doors SLAM all the time.

Love the Calm
Very relaxing. Several eateries close by. Entire area is easy walking.
Traveler's tip on dining
Eat across the street (over 2 short walking blocks) at the Sea Biscuit for breakfast or lunch. Very nice.

Pleasantly surprised
I read others’ comments before booking this hotel and wasn’t sure what to expect given the range of those comments. There were no musty odors as indicated in some of those reviews. The room smelled clean thanks to what appeared to be new carpet and recent renovations. The comments about the bar immediately outside of the ocean view rooms are true, but even with live music on the patio, it wasn’t noticeable. Parking on site is only for loading and unloading. After that, it is half block away in a public parking lot...not too bad if you have good weather. This is a very reasonable, no frills (continental breakfast notwithstanding :)),small beach town hotel. I’d stay here again.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Very convenient to Charleston’s attractions. Also found very good dining on Sullivan’s Island. Looking for souvenirs? The older gift shop just to the left as you leave the hotel has better deals than the newer shops found directly across the street.
