Will definitely go back!
This hotel is about 15 years old, but in great condition. Remember you are not paying for a 5 star. Drinks made to your liking, just need to ask. Food better than other Cancun hotels and mimosas with buffet breakfast. We upgraded to the oceanview which was nice. Room was smaller with a small balcony so best for a couple and not a family. Would definitely go back!

Ok...so it’s Cancun.
It’s a place to go and have fun without expectations being unrealistic. For the money, we had a blast. The rooms were clean and the hotel is beautiful to look at. Drinks were flowing, although there was only a couple of bars open at a time so lines were long. The food was not great...breakfast was good but the lunch and dinner options were lacking. Sometimes the smell was almost unbearable. However, we had our expectations in check. The pool was nice, access to the beach was great. We weren’t hounded by people wanting to sell us trinkets and junk we didn’t want. The foam party is a MUST do and club promoters were onsite selling admission so you didn’t have to wait in line when you got there. I recommend taking a cab to downtown instead of the bus. It’s still cheap and you don’t have to wait on the bus to fill up. "The City" is the best club I’ve ever been to...we will go back, stay here and just deal with the food. Not a great place to take kids, but if you’re looking to party in Cancun, this is a great spot!

good bang for the buck!
beautiful place, recommend the ocean front room upgrade. Restaurant food higher quality than buffets. A/C did not work in our room only the fan for the unit when set on the lowest speed. It was definitely the place to be along the beach, we walked for a couple miles and most places were empty but ours had plenty of guests and activities. We would recommend it and would go back.

Guests staying at this hotel can enjoy facilities at more than five partner hotels in the Cancún/Riviera Maya area for the day, including access to all food and beverage outlets, at no additional cost. All guests must inform the Guest Services Desk (Oasis Plus Desk) of the date and time they plan to visit a partner hotel. Facilities at the Grand Oasis are not available to guests staying at Oasis sister resorts.
Honeymoon program
Honeymooners staying at Grand Oasis, Grand Oasis Playa, Oasis Cancún, and Grand Oasis Riviera Maya will receive a complimentary upgrade to suite accommodations (where available) or best possible accommodation (based on advance request and subject to availability); a bottle of champagne in their room; and one free night on their first anniversary’s return trip (minimum five-night stay) to the same hotel.
The anniversary trip also includes a room category upgrade and bottle of champagne.
