Mostly pleased
Castle Kiahuna plantations is a collection of condo type rooms, which was great as we didn’t have to worry about eating out for every meal. The Poipu area is outstanding and pretty easy to get anywhere. We drove to the top of the island one day which was the furthest point from the hotel and it was an easy and beautiful drive. Our room was not by the beach, closer to the road so we had some road noise, which was not too bad. I would suggest a room closer to the beach or further from the road. The chickens which were everywhere were noisy. No escape from them. The rooms themselves are about 3 star quality - a little worn but comfortable. Room service was just once during our seven days. But that did not pose a problem. I would go back to this resort again, no question. Be aware that it is not a Hyatt though with all the services (and costs) they have.

Would love to go back!
We were very satisfied with our room and the grounds were immaculate. We reported a torn screen and it was replaced the same day, Everyone was very friendly and accomodating. Love it there!

Our New Winter Home!
It was our first time to Hawaii. Our flight from the east cost was long and it left us tired and weary. However the destination was worth it. We tried to do everything we could fit into a week. Now we are looking into returning for a month or more later this year.
