Wilderness Lodge Anniversary
The stay at our hotel was excellent. The hotel personnel were extremely courteous and helpful. Artist Point Restaurant within the confines of the hotel was exquisite! My wife and I we took a boat ride in the moonlight, pictures against a picturesque waterfall, smiled at an hourly geyser and frolicked with joviality at the tandem bike buggies. We have actually have decided to do this trip as annual anniversary excursion. It was very memorable. The best thing that happened to us is that at the last minute the hotel was able to accommodate us for one extra night. We highly recommend the stay for any family or couples. Our only complaint that we have-- was the king size bed. It was not a king size bed, it was two full beds pushed together; and needless to say the hole in the middle where the beds joined in the middle of the night would suck us in. The next time we stay we will request a queen size bed, so that we can sleep more comfortably. Yet, do not let that small complaint deter you because the service was excellent. Case in point --without us asking, the personnel who set up the room on the daily basis made us an anniversary wedding cake out of bath towels. We thought it was an excellent touch! Stay a couple of nights at the Wilderness Lodge, it will be an excellent and memorable experience. 4.8 stars out of five, the .2 was for the bed, if we would have had a real king or at least one solid mattress over the two full beds, it would have been 5 out of 5!
The hotel has a beach. They have bikes and boats for rentals as well as boat taxis to take you to the attractions. There are three restaurants within the confines of the hotel, (Definitely recommend Artist Pointe for a memorable dining experience). There are children activities and a two leisure bars. Close to attractions and very courteous hotel staff.

Good On-site Disney Hotel
Not the most convenient for getting to Magic Kingdom (compared to Contemporary or Grand Floridian), because you have to go by boat or bus, but Wilderness Lodge was also much cheaper. The rooms were like every other hotel, but so what. You arent in them very much except to sleep and shower. Hotel pools were nice. Like everywhere else in Disney, the food was meh.
