4 Stars
The Westin is a beautiful, massive property. Our room was immaculate, spacious, and had every amenity i could ask for. There were several towers that comprised the Westin, and there were also several pools, large beach area, and enough bars to not feel crowded. The location was very nice. Kaanapali is not as upscale/commercial as Wailea, which we liked, but it is still close to everything. My only real complaints with the Westin, keeping it from 5 stars, are the following: They charged daily for parking, they charged to rent beach chairs daily, and they charged an exorbitant amount for all non motorized water sports like snorkel gear - I thought that was a turn off, but you can find ways around most of it. Overall I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants an affordable, but luxurious place to stay.
We did a few things that were just awesome while we were there: 1. Zip line with Flyin Hawaiian - amazing 2. Snorkel trip to Molokini with Trilogy - we swam alongside sea turtle - breathtaking 3. Blue Hawaiian Helicopters, always have internet discounts - beautiful trip Dining Suggestions: Koiso in Kihei Roys in Lahaina Milagros and Flatbread in Paia

Wonderful honeymoon
The hotel is located at a great beach with natural coral reefs perfect for snorkeling. The sunsets are breathtaking. We would recommend a car as public transportation is not really good. A small town with all you need is 15 min. away. The resort itsself is really big offering swimming pools, childrens areas, business center, barbeque places, restaurants, fitness rooms, etc. Additional services like renting snorkeling equipment etc. is quite pricy. The rooms are fully equipped with a kitchen incl. equipment, bath with jacuzzi, washing machine&dryer, etc. so you can stay for a long time. The only thing we have not been satisfied with was the messy housekeeping. Those villas area really a perfect place to spend an unforgettable holiday! We really enjoyed every minute of our honeymoon there and can recommend this place!
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
Take your snorkeling equipment and spend as much as time as you can with your head under the water! Its really beautyful and right in front of the hotel...
