Not impressed
The staff is distant and inflexible. The public transportation is limited to DLR service, no red bus near the hotel. + Near Canary Wharf + Accessible by private car Make sure no major event or tunnel/street work is being conducted.

Too far from Central London
The hotel itself was nice and amenities were average. This hotel is as far east of Central London as you can get. There are no convenience stores, shops in any kind of walking distance. We had to take several trains and buses to get to this hotel. The tube was down most of the week we were here and had to take temp buses to and from various tubes stations still open. There is a lot of tube work going on on the way to this hotel, so many lines are down for the long-term. I strongly urge potential travelers not to stay here if you want to see "London".

Pick something closer to Central London. Takes 30-40 minutes just to get into Central London.

Basic Accommodation at London City Airport
It’s not really viable walking distance with suitcases - particularly on a wet day, but the Ramada Hotel and Suites London Docklands has no airport shuttle. This seems strange given its proximity the airport. This is a modern, but basic, no-frills hotel. Typical small, hard cheap beds; tiny television; very few amenities and stark surroundings. Marginally preferable to staying in the airport lounge overnight.

Very close to London City Airport - but book a taxi for your departure because there is no hotel shuttle.
