Extremely Disappointing

We come to Whistler often and were very excited to have the opportunity to stay at a Fairmont. We were immediately disapointed when we saw the condition of the room we had. For a luxury hotel, the rooms were far from it. We intially requested a King bed, but they said none were available...on off season...really? They said they’d call us if one opened up. We had an inch of dust on the clock radio, the bed skirts were unironed and turned up, the decor was very outdated and banged up. The walls and doors had dents and scuff marks everywhere. There were no amenities. Internet access was very expensive, the TV was standard. Even the in room coffee selection was sub standard. We had seen other guest at the pool in hotel robes; however our room had none.We finally had to call to get our King room, in which we were told there were plenty of options. The room they moved us to was a partial accessible room, which we did not need and made it difficult for a person with a short stature to feel comfortable. We then noticed that this room also had no robes so we had to call down and get them delivered. After one night, we checking out and moved to another hotel. I told them of our situation and they gave us a comparable rate and upgraded us to a full suite with fireplace, flat screen TV, radio with IPod connectivity, internet access, full kitchen. For a hotel that isn’t rated as nice as the Fairmont, we sure enjoyed ourselves much more and with nicer rooms!

Fairmont Whistler

Our hotel room was in terrible repair. The wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom, there was mold on the ceiling and the paint was peeling over the toilet. The baseboards throughout the room were scuffed and the paint was chipped or peeling. Very disappointing for a Fairmont property.

If you have the chance you must go to Whistler

Whislter is an AMAZING place. The Fairmont in Whistler is a wonderful place. The Fairmont Hotel is the place to stay in Whistler. The hotel has all that you need, and is centrally located for ease of accessing all that Whistler has to offer. I have already "sold" my friend’s on Whistler and the Fairmont, and plan to return with my wife next year.
