Very Impressed
This hotel is everything that a London hotel should be -- from the charming doorman, to the very helpful staff, to the rooms themselves. We were invited to the manager’s cocktail party during our stay, which was a great touch. There is not a bad thing to say about this hotel. Have stayed in other hotels around London, and this is a favorite. The neighborhood was great, too -- an easy walk to the Palace, and to shopping.

Great location and Jim is awesome!
The best part of this hotel is the friendly doorman, Jim. He always remembers your name and is very friendly. He was great. The conceirge was also helpful. Overall, I loved the hotel with one exceptions. There is no plugin in the bathroom for a hairdryer or curling iron. I was told that in the UK they aren’t allowed to put them in the bathrooms. However there was a small voltage plug for a mans shaver. I was ok with doing my hair in the bedroom, except they didn’t make it easy for a lady to use the appliances in the bedroom either. No desk with a mirror/plugin. I ended up working around a picture on the wall that covered a wall mirror. I had to bend or sit on the floor to use it. Not what I’d expect from a hotel rated 5. When asked how women in the UK do their hair in such a situation, we were told that UK women were a "tough lot" and make due. Funny, except it didn’t help us do our hair. The architect was obviously didn’t consider female travelers needs.
