Cheap and nice
Very inexpensive room, great location on State street...close enough to all of the tourist stuff but still far enough away from the noise.

Clean and met our basic needs
The hotel was clean and neat, beds were comfortable enough. Definitely no frills, however. i would go back.

Decent room at an Excellent price
Got a great deal with an online special they were running through Expedia -- esp. compared with similar hotels in the area and Santa Barbara in general. Room was fine...rather utilitarian and nothing fancy, but clean. Handy location for what we were doing -- halfway between downtown and people we were visiting, but not walking distance to tourist area (farther down State St.).
