Not Clean
Checked into this hotel for the New Years Eve Holiday. I have always been happy with the Renaissance Hotels, but this one was a disappointment. We had no toiletries in our room, and the bathroom was not clean at all. There was dirt and hair in the corners of the bathroom floor and the floor of the tub was gray with soap scum. The room was exceptionally small - barely room to turn around between the foot of the bed and the desk. If we could have checked out and taken a room elsewhere, we would have, but everything else was booked due to the holiday. The one good thing about the hotel is that it is pretty close to the restaurants and shops of downtown Asheville. Easily within walking distance.

Very convenient location, good place
Good location, walking distance to town. Very pleasant staff. Easy to get in and out of. Very nicely appointed room, great TV, also various hook ups for tech devices, PC, etc. Only oddity was lack of double pane glass in room; when we were there it was very cold out and window totally an ice sheet. But no issues re room warmth. A great experience, people in restaurant also great, nice pool and hot tub..
