"top notch"
I had no idea when I chose this hotel off Expedia that I had picked the nicest hotel in Stowe. Topnotch is outstanding. To the great location, beautiful room, relaxing spa and the outstanding staff I couldn’t have been more delighted with our stay. Highly recommend this place.

Noisy and disappointed but a nice hotel & spa.
The hotel was much different than I orginally expected. As a 4 or 5 star hotel, one would assume that it would have impecable service. However, that was not always the experience. The hotel restaurant and spa’s service was wonderful. However, my car’s decal was stollen in the parking lot and the hotel would do nothing about it. Additionally, the hotel was extremely noisy. It advertises that there is an adult pool & jacuzzi in addition to the regular pool and jacuzzi; however, it was not open. So for a romantic getaway for two I don’t recommend it. Children were throwing snow into the jacuzzi and constantly running around and screaming. It makes you really wish you were staying at an adults only hotel. Additionally, the walls of the hotel are VERY thin. So plan on hearing your neighbors and make sure that your room is not on a main hallway if you want to sleep past 6:30am.

Noisy neighbor
We had a couple in the room next to ours who loudly came in at 1 a.m. and proceeded to argue loudly until almost 3 a.m. We called the front desk twice. Each time they called that room. The first time it quited for a time before staring up again, the second time it quieted for good. Upon checking out the manager credited our account for one night’s stay as compensation.
Traveler's tip on dining
Resort’s restaurant, Norma’s, has very good food and a great wine list but can be crowded and noisy. Ask to eat outside if the weather is nice. They will set up a space heater by the outside table for you.
