Dirty Towels
I was returning to the hotel after 6-7 years. In general, everything is older now and not as nice as it used to be and I actually had towels in the bathroom with shoe polish! Yes they were nice and sent new towels but you do expect them ALL the towels when a guest checks out.

Great stay
We have stayed at numerous 4-5 star resorts in Scottsdale/Phoenix area and the Phoenician never disappoints. Their pools are fabulous as they offer "noodles" to relax on. The resort grounds are impeccably manicured and the views are great. The resort also backs up to Camelback Mtn. where you can hike and they have a dessert garden you can walk through. If you are a spa connoisseur, the spa area is much to be desired. Its a bit smaller than some of the other spas in the area and the services(Ive had massages/body treatments done) are just ok. But, they have a lot of activities they offer on the resort such as: golf, croquet, lawn bowling, tennis, basketball just to name a few. They also have a cute cafe on site that offers coffee, breakfast/lunch and sweet treats. Great for folks who have a sweet tooth like myself! The food at the resort is good albeit expensive. However, the resort is nearby to many great restaurants in the area. The resort is also not far from other attractions such as the Phoenix Zoo or Desert Botanical Garden (about 15 minutes drive). We stayed in a Grand Deluxe Room which is larger than the standard rooms and offers a larger veranda (at least the one we stayed in did). All in all, great stay and will definitely be back again!!
