Great trip....the Palazzo Manfredi staff helped make it special!!
We went to Rome for my 60th birthday and had a wonderful time. Weve been to Europe several times but never to Rome so it was a very special trip for us. The hotel is right by the major sites of the Roman Forum so it was an easy access tour these areas. The staff at the hotel were great and anything we requested they were right there with an answer. Wed recomend it !!!!

Beautiful boutique hotel with perfect setting
The rooftop restaurant that looks out at the nearby Colosseum cant be beat in terms of the view (service and food were average). Our family enjoyed a two-bedroom, two-bathroom suite that was very beautiful and clean. The windows opened to an amazing view of the Colosseum. Lots of places in walking distance. The service was average - champagne bottle in room on arrival was sitting in water instead of ice and stayed that way for entire stay (despite concierge noticing when showing the room); courtesy hors doeuvres not eaten on first day remained on the table the next day instead of being tossed; reception/concierge lukewarm. BUT, the beautiful hotel and setting are worth the stay. We would definitely stay there again.

Absolutely the best!
This hotel could not be any better. The hotel is beautiful and the staff (especially Sabine)is warm, friendly and extremely helpful. Gave us a map with all of the tourist sights circled and told us estimated walking times. The hotel will let you borrow a laptop to check your email (free wifi). I had the suite which was two bedrooms/2 full baths. Perfect for traveling with the husband and a teenage son. The views of the Colliseum from the suite/hotel in general were out of this world. Hotel exactly as shown on website. Great location from which to walk to all of the major tourist sights. Full breakfast included (cereal, pastries, cheeses, meats, fruit, juices, proseco most days). Cant recommend this hotel enough.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Get Rick Steves Rome re: how to get certain tickets/passes online. Go to wine bar next to the DeFranco restaurant behind the hotel (ask at front desk). Best tasting & best priced food in Rome. Take empty water bottles with u. Refill at water fountains (as distinguished from decorative fountains)located everywhere to avoid paying 3 euros for bottled water. Book ground transport through Expedia. Learn some basic Italian and use it. The effort is appreciated.
