UCSF Medical Center
This hotel was close to the med center which is why I chose it. I was only there for a short time, it is in a shady part of town, I wouldn’t have wanted to be on the street after dark. It was very quiet, keep in mind there are no TV’s and the cafe in the hotel closes at 8pm.

Groovy Stay in the Haignt!
We had a most enjoyable time at the Red Victorian.The only drawback is the parking, but it is San Francisco and it goes with the territory. We were on the street and it was a little noisy at night, but we loved sitting and watching the "street scene" during the day. If you want to spend some quality time in the Haight this is the place to stay
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Read all the signs thouroughly before parking and remember the only day you don’t have to put money in the parking meters is Sunday.

Funky and comfy
My husband and I decided to spend our honeymoon in San Francisco, and I couldn’t think of a better place to start our trip. The Haight-Ashbury area has plenty of wonderful places to visit, all within walking distance. The Red Vic was comfortable yet quirky. All of the rooms have a different theme, all with a unique charm (be warned, not all rooms have private bathrooms). I can’t wait to go back again and stay in a different room.
