The worst Hotel in the Caribbean
I have to book another hotel the night I arrived because the condition of this hotel was horrible

Great hotel for Divers and Snorkelers
The hotel has a great pool area and the dive center was outstanding with a very friendly staff. The house reef was great for shore dives and snorkeling with great visibility. Outdoor bar/restaurant plagued by mosquitoes when we were there around the 4th of July. Oceanfront room had fantastic view and was larger than expected; very clean but beds and pillows were not very comfortable. Would strongly recommend having a rental car as we did if you are staying here as it is in a pretty isolated but beautiful area.

Not as good as last time
We stayed at this hotel in 2004 and had a very pleasant experience. This time we didn’t get the shared outdoor kitchen that we had last time(4 of us - so we book 2 rooms) - might have been our own confusion when booking. Regardless - our first floor room had lots of ants - not unbearable but all they provided as a resolution was spray - so we feel like we inhaled plenty of that over the week. The front desk staff is helpful sometimes - depends on who is there at the time. Seems like they may be more helpful for Dutch customers than American so maybe it’s just that they aren’t as well versed in English. We only ate one meal at the restaurant on the last night and it was great and a great price - wish we had dined there more. The pool is beautiful. The ’beach’ really isn’t a beach - it’s a small area off the dock which is really all coral. So-so... may look into a different hotel next time.
